Our Circulariums use an 'active filtering' system, which is a form of aquaponics. Waste from the fish provides nutrients for the plants, and the plants in turn clean the water for the fish. It's a natural, symbiotic cycle that significantly reduces maintenance.
Active filtering is our term for the integrated aquaponics system. It's an ecosystem-based approach where plants in the grow beds filter ammonia and nitrates from the water, keeping it clean and healthy for your fish while allowing you to grow small herbs or decorative plants.
The core structural components, including the main body and the exoskeleton on select models, are 3D printed in the USA using durable, aquarium-safe materials. Other components like the pump and LED lights are sourced from high-quality suppliers.
